After sifting through tons of different options I settled on the four indoor rabbit cages below. I chose the four below because firstly I think they are all brilliant cages and secondly they give a nice cross section of the options available. So without further ado….
1.) Rabbit Cage – Prevue Small Animal Homes with Stand
Pros
This indoor rabbit cage is a brilliant choice and is a great size (XL cage recommended). It has plenty of room for your rabbit to explore and play. It is well built, gives your rabbit easy access in and out of the cage and is a breeze to clean.
Cons
This cage has small wire on the bottom. The spacing is small so it does provide good surface areas for your bunny to hop on. But I would definitely suggest putting a grass mat or piece of carpet down to give your bunny a solid alternative (this also goes for the cage door).
Verdict – 9/10
Fantastic size, easy to clean, large doors with easy access and well built. This is a fantastic indoor rabbit cage.
2.) Rabbit Cage – My Deluxe Home, Giant
Pros
This cage is a brilliant, large cage at a very reasonable price. It offers your rabbit plenty of room with two levels to explore and play. It has two large doors which give really easy access in and out of the cage.
Cons
The base of this cage is quite high (8”) and some rabbits could struggle to get in and out. I also prefer and would recommend cages that are slightly off the ground as this seems to make a rabbit feel more secure and comfortable.
Verdict – 8/10
Overall this is a very good rabbit cage at a great price.
3.) Rabbit Cage – Ware Manufacturing Premium+Hutch
Pros
This is a great looking hutch that sits high off the ground. I love the fact that the rabbit has two separate areas and that the nest area and ramp are solid wood and not wire. The hutch is a fantastic size (large version recommended) and easy to clean.
My favourite feature is the Indoor Rabbit cage hutch add on. This option allows you to increase your rabbits play area substantially and with the easy access to and from the cage (wooden ramp), your rabbit will have more then enough space to play unsupervised in his/her very own playground.
Cons
This cage is made from soft wood and rabbits generally tend to chew, so your rabbit loves it but the hutch can get quite chewed up. The hinges and heart lock aren’t the most reliable, and could need reinforcing or replacing after a bit of time.
Verdict – 9.5/10 (with Run) and 8/10 (without Run)
This is a brilliant, well designed cage that your rabbit will love. With the Run add on your rabbit will have the freedom and space to get all the exercise they need. This it a brilliant Rabbit cage and Hutch.
4.) Rabbit Cage – Super Pet Habitat Defined Home for Rabbits
Pros
This indoor rabbit cage is worth every penny. It has plenty of space, two levels to allow your rabbit to explore, large top and side opening doors, is easy to clean and very durable.
Cons
The only real negative I have with this cage is the wire floor. The 1” spacing is pretty good, but I would still recommend putting a grass mat etc. on the bottom of the cage giving your rabbit a solid base to play and relax.
Verdict – 8.5/10
This is a nice home for any rabbit.
